It was early in the 1970's when I rode the Jundah Plains, a small town but a vast countryside. I worked the Caplin Station, a large cattle station, heading towards Longreach. The mob in the yards were a wild bunch but reliable, they would always have your back. There was Noat, a name given to him whilst sharpening axes years ago, consequently a job not to be undertaken when drunk leaving him with no toes on his left foot. Then there was Terry, the Romanian with attitude (Huh! Imagine that!) As well as the Taylor brothers, Dave and Jack.
