Like many former hockey players, figure skaters, and speed skaters, he assumed his skating days were over when he moved to Oregon. However, since Lane County opened the rink, he has played in the adult hockey league for over 30 years.Michael enjoyed a long career at PeaceHealth and was a pioneer in healthcare information technology. He founded Crescent Ridge Consulting, a Health IT advisory firm, in 2016 and Crescent Ridge Publishers in 2022.He lives with his wife, LeeAnn, in Eugene, Oregon. They have four adult children. Michael, LeeAnn, and their dog Sierra frequently travel throughout the West in their converted campervan. This is his first book.
