Kim Ellis began her writing career under her parents' coffee table with a red crayon. At age four she upgraded to the closet door. Now, as a retired teacher, she is still scribbling away, producing stories that have appeared in Cricket, High Five Magazine for Children, Stinkwaves, and Skipping Stones magazines. She won first prize for children's poetry in Children's Writer Newsletter (February 2014). Kim is a teacher consultant with the Hudson Valley Writing Project. She enjoys yoga, quilting, and hanging out with her granddaughters. Tangled in Magic is her first published book.
