Daniela Gatt is Senior Lecturer in the Department of Communication Therapy at the University of Malta. She is a speech-language pathologist and lectures on childhood communication development and disorders. Her research interests relate to the lexical development of children with and without language impairment in bilingual contexts. Ciara O'Toole is a Lecturer in Speech and Language Therapy in the Department of Speech and Hearing Sciences at University College Cork, Ireland. She is a speech and language therapist with teaching and research interests in the area of paediatric communication development and disorders. She has particular interest in bilingual language acquisition and children who are acquiring Irish as a first/second language.
