The uncertainty in our today's world is increasing because of economic, political, technological, and social change. The study of risk management is therefore crucial for any business sector to survive these changes. The banking sector is one of the sector that face large risks in terms of both severity and frequency, which needs critical identification, evaluation, and management of these risks. This book provides a detail analysis of risk assessment and handling mechanisms by taking Ethiopian commercial banks as a sample. In this book the major risks that the banks face including credit risk, liquidity risk, operational risk, foreign exchange risk, and interest rate risk are addressed.
