Given the importance of gas energy and its major and undeniable role in the country's economy and especially in energy supplies, it is strongly needed to investigate risk analysis studies in designing and maintaining, this huge and widespread industry such as gas transmission pipeline. In general, risk analysis is a method to determine the quantity and the quality of risks by means of analyzing the project potential hazards by taking the sensitivity and vulnerability of the circumference environment into account. K.W. Muhlbauer (Indexing) is a method based on a comparative scoring system of relevant parameters to make risks. In the present research, it has been tried to propose a systematic method to study and analyze the risks of oil and gas transmission pipelines in order to enable both designers and customers to identify and control the risks to reduce the probability and impacts of incidents and regulate them.
