Autorenporträt
Meena Alexander was born in India and raised there and in North Africa. Her work has appeared widely in journals in the United States, Canada, England, and India and has also been translated into several languages, including Italian and German. She published several volumes of poetry, including Night Scene, the Garden. Her novel Nampally Road (1991) was a VLS Editor's Choice and her memoir Fault Lines was published in 1993.
