Rachel Freeman Long is a Farm Advisor with the University of California Cooperative Extension Service in Yolo County, California. She has published many scientific articles on bats and pest control in agriculture. She lives on a farm in Northern California with her husband, son, two dogs, and several bat houses with families of bats.
