Road 51 is an important road in Iran connecting Shahrekord and Isfahan's satellite cities to Isfahan. Shahrekord (Persian: ) is a city in western Iran, and is the capital of the Chaharmahal and Bakhtiari Province. It is situated 107 km southwest of Isfahan, and 521 km southwest of the capital Tehran. It was originally known as Deh Kord, which means Village of the Kurds but most of the Shahrekordian people are not Kurdish.
