Carefully researched, the rides offer a variety of terrain, conditions, and historical significance. The book is divided into three sections – North and the Mountains, Piedmont, and South Georgia/Coastline – and each route uses less-traveled secondary roads as much as possible and begins and ends in the same location. Some routes are well known, such as “Six Gaps” near Dahlonega, and some cruise through delightful beach areas, remote quail plantations, and even downtown Savannah.
