Roaring Brook Township is a township in Lackawanna County, Pennsylvania, United States. The population was 1,637 at the 2000 census. According to the United States Census Bureau, the township has a total area of 22.1 square miles (57.3 km²), of which, 21.7 square miles (56.1 km²) of it is land and 0.5 square miles (1.2 km²) of it (2.08%) is water. As of the census of 2000, there were 1,637 people, 638 households, and 509 families residing in the township. The population density was 75.6 people per square mile (29.2/km²). There were 656 housing units at an average density of 30.3/sq mi (11.7/km²). The racial makeup of the township was 98.23% White, 0.24% African American, 0.06% Native American, 0.55% Asian, 0.12% from other races, and 0.79% from two or more races. Hispanic or Latino of any race were 0.31% of the population.
