Robert Gene Jackson (born November 3, 1985 in West Haven, Connecticut) is an American football defensive end for the Washington Redskins of the National Football League. He was drafted by the Redskins in the seventh round of the 2008 NFL Draft. He played college football at Kansas State. Jackson prepped at West Haven High School, West Haven, CT, where he was considered the No. 16 overall prospect in New England by SuperPrep. He earned All-Area and All-State honors at defensive end in 2003 when he Totaled 72 tackles, including 12 sacks. He won a state championship in 2002 in high school. He was the only captain in 11th grade ever at West Haven High School. In 2007 Jackson started 11 of 12 in 2007. He ended the season with 25 tackles, 4.5 lor losses, and 2 sacks and one pass broken up. In 2006 he started 12-of-13 games and earned honrable mention All-Big 12 after making 36 tackles (8.5 for losses and 4.5 sacks, two pass break-ups and one forced fumble Jackson attended Junior College prior to attending Kansas State.
