Paul Creswick (1866-1947) specialized in telling adventurous tales for young readers. His other books include Aelfred's Days, Hasting the Pirate, and The Smuggler's of Barnard Head. In addition to creating more than 3,000 paintings, American artist and illustrator N. C. Wyeth (1882-1945) illustrated 112 books, 25 of them for the Scribner's Classics series that includes Robin Hood.
