Rodrigo "Comprido" Medeiros (born January 11, 1977 in Brasilia, Brazil) is a Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu black belt. His nickname, Comprido, is Portuguese for "long". Rodrigo began BJJ at the age of sixteen. He received his black belt from Rolls Gracie student, Romero "Jacaré" Cavalcanti and is one of a select group of jiu jitsu competitors to have won the prestigious CBJJ Mundial Absolute title twice. Comprido is one of the founding members of Team Brasa. Comprido appeared on the instructional DVD The Science of Jiu-Jitsu II with Demian Maia. Comprido is often confused with the Carlson Gracie Sr Black Belt and leader of the BJJ Revolution team Rodrigo Medeiros. He currently resides in the Chicago area, teaching Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu and grappling at his school, FLO Mixed Martial Arts at 709 S Vermont Rd. Palatine, IL.
