Rodrigo Ribeiro Souto, otherwise known as Rodrigo Souto (born September 9, 1983 in Rio de Janeiro) is a Brazilian footballer who plays as a defensive midfielder. He currently plays for Júbilo Iwata. A product of São Cristóvão youth, such as Brazilian superstar forward Ronaldo, Rodrigo earned a transfer to Vasco da Gama with only 17 years old. He built his career in Vasco, inicially playing as a defensive midfielder. However, the team back then played many players in that positions on the lineup, and so Rodrigo was able to show his attacking skills. He then begun to be deployed as a right attacking midfielder.
