Roger Duvoisin (1904-1980) was a Swiss-American author and illustrator. Born in Geneva, Switzerland, his first job was making textiles. He moved to New York City in 1927 where he wrote his first book. He received a Caldecott Medal for White Snow, Bright Snow by Alvin Tresselt. He is now known mostly for his Veronica and Happy Lion series. He married author Louise Fatio. In 1961 he received an award from the Society of Illustrators.
