Roger Jones (born 8 November 1946) is an English former footballer, born in Upton-upon-Severn, Worcestershire, who played as a goalkeeper. Released by his first club, Portsmouth, when they disbanded their reserve team,Jones went on to make nearly 700 appearances in the Football League, playing for Bournemouth, Blackburn Rovers, Newcastle United, Stoke City, Derby County, Birmingham City and York City over a 20-year professional career.
