Roger Jonathon Reinert (born July 22, 1970) is a Minnesota politician and a member of the Minnesota Senate. He previously served as a member of the Minnesota House of Representatives, representing District 7B, which includes the western portion of Duluth in St. Louis County. On November 2, 2010, he was elected to represent District 7 in the Minnesota Senate.Reinert began his political career when he was appointed to the Duluth City Council on January 12, 2004, filling the seat vacated by Herb Bergson who had been elected mayor. He went on to win a tight race for a regular term on the council in 2005, receiving 28.16% (8,847) of the vote (8,847) to 25.29% (7,947) for James Stabuer, 23.78% (7,427) for Timothy Bearheart, and 22.61% (7,106) for Bob Hansen.
