Autorenporträt
David Preute was born in Reutlingen (Germany) in 1996. He studied at the renowned University of Television and Film Munich and holds an additional diploma from the School of Cinematic Arts at the University of Southern California. With "Rogue Trader" he presented his first feature length film in 2021 and landed an early hit. The financial thriller reached an audience of several million people and got praised as "the German Margin Call" and "unbelievably gripping" by publications such as TV Spielfilm and epd Film. The Süddeutsche Zeitung called it a "merciless reckoning with the financial industry". David Preute currently works as a screenwriter and director based in Munich and Stuttgart.
