ABSTRACT: Violence against women has become generalised in society, manifesting itself as a problem within the current neoliberal system, which at the same time has facilitated its reproduction, mainly linked to the economic context and at the same time overlapping with the social and political. It addresses the role of civil society in the treatment of violence against women in a commune called Tomé based on the levels of membership and social participation versus the levels of individualism, rethinking the traditional forms of intervention.
