FNAC of liver has been shown to be a safe, simple, cost effective and accurate method for cytologic diagnosis of hepatic lesions both diffuse and nodular. In the present study the malignant neoplastic lesions of liver can be easily categorized into primary epithelial tumours of liver and metastatic tumours based on cytomorphologic features radiological, biochemical findings (AFP). Subtyping of the primary epithelial tumour of liver and metastatic tumours can be done in cytologic smears.
