The role of NGOs in the development of Himachal Pradesh and their financial appraisal is a critical and comprehensive study of the three NGO s namely CORD (Chinmaya Organization for Rural Development, Kangra), HPVHA(Himachal Pradesh Voluntary Health Association, Shimla) and SRDA(Society for Rural Development and Action, Mandi). The study throws light on their respective scope of service to sectors such as social welfare, health, education, rural development and environment protection and their span of delivery to the beneficiaries, rural essentially comprising man, women, adolescence, aged, etc.
