The book is written as an alternative textbook. It reflects a different view of the treatment of the Tatar-Mongols in the books published so far. The main purpose of writing the book is to help restore an objective approach to the history of the Tatar-Mongols. Referring to objective facts, the book notes that most of the so-called Tatar-Mongol and later Mongol communities were Turkic-speaking tribes. The book notes the historical friendship and affinity between the Russian and Turkish peoples.
