Indian Railways is a vast organization which has a large workforce with several departments and complicated working. Indian Railways has its own grievance redressal system for their employees. Due to the complex work culture of the Railways, several employees' grievances were often introduced there. The grievances, which are delayed or not attempted by the administration, may be raised by trade unions for their resolutions. In the present study the trade union West Central Railway Mazdoor Sangh of West Central Railway zone is considered as the study area.In the present study a survey in the form of questionnaire is done on Railway employees of various departments in West Central Railway via Google forms, and Interviews of eminent leaders of West Central Railway Mazdoor Sangh and officials of key posts have also been done. Obtained data is analyzed via pie chart analysis for getting conclusions for the role of trade unions in the Grievance Redressal system.
