As a literary artist, whose primary concern is the achievement of undiluted realism, Bhabani Bhattacharya perhaps suffers certain limitations. For one thing, his high flying idealism and visionary leanings seemingly dilute his deliberate designs in his characterization as well as plot construction. Besides, his faculty of imagination has perhaps been too powerful to allow the domination of the realities of life, notwithstanding their origin in the cold earth. Inconsistencies of the kind may also be regarded as inescapable corollaries of the author's earnest attempts at building bridges.
