Autorenporträt
Bella Welkin has always loved children's storybooks; and, to this day, they are still her favorite! She wrote her first books when she was in elementary school using only notebook paper and illustrating the pictures herself with crayons. In high school, she began writing poems and discovered her love for rhyming words. She continued writing poems well into her adult years, perfecting her craft. While working with young children in the classroom, Bella noticed that her students seemed to learn best from rhyme and repetition; so, it only seemed natural to use this style of writing when she started writing children's storybooks of her own. Her books are now available in over 13 different countries! These days, her stories garner rave reviews before they even hit the market as they are subjected to the critiques of her five children who are always excited to get a sneak peek at their mom's latest creation.
