Lorraine (Roo) Carlstrom has been interested in food most of her life. She has been involved in many roles including; cooking at a backcountry cabin in the Canadian Rockies, volunteering at organic farms, serving as a Chapter Leader for the Weston A. Price Foundation and teaching cooking classes. She studied and became a Certified Nutritional Consultant. Her most important role has been feeding her family. She currently lives in Hood River, Oregon with her husband, Brian. They have two grown children, Logan and Kenzie. When Lorraine is not in the kitchen she can be found windsurfing, skiing, ebiking, hiking, walking or reading cookbooks in her bath tub.
