Hence it becomes important to highlight the therapeutic potentials of this plant in front of scientists so that a justified research is carried out on an important but ignored plant. A very limited data with scientific evidences is available in modern literature as well as on internet sources however old texts are rich source of valueable evidences. The information is available in regional languages or in Sanskrit and real uses of the plant are not well understood by scientific fraternity. Purpose of this compilation is to bring all the therapeutic potentials at a single platform so as to enable scientists working on these plants to know the scientific clues available in ancient literature.
