She started writing stories in college (a while ago!) and hasn't stopped since. Her first book: Rosebloom, won a national IPPY award in 2008 for historical fiction, her 2014 book: Will the Real Carolyn Keene Please Stand Up was a finalist for a Midwest Book Award for historical fiction and her 2016 middle grade book: Intrigue in Istanbul: An Agnes Kelly Mystery Adventure won a 2016 Moonbeam Children's Award.
