Stand in your favourite spot and spin around slowly. Imagine that everything you see all around is just in front of you, no further away than the stretch of your arm. It's as if the image has been perfectly painted on the inside of a sphere with you at the centre, like standing inside a planetarium. Now imagine that the sphere is squashed flat so that it becomes two-dimensional. You are now imagining a roundograph. Roundography is a collection of colourful and textured spherical panoramas taken in Britain and Ireland in the last three years. Turn the book in your hands to join Lucy Martin as she spins around from her vantage point. An informative how-to section describes her technique so that you can be a roundographer too.

Autorenporträt
Lucy Martin has written four thrillers, three of which form the DS Ronnie Delmar series - Stop at Nothing, The Choice and Last to Leave but came to writing later in life than some. With a first class degree in modern languages from Oxford University she spent the first ten years of her career as a city lawyer, before setting up her own business and from there moving into teaching French and Spanish in schools and as a private tutor. Lucy's non-fiction works include Make it Your Business, The Childcare Bible, and a plethora of language books for students from GCSE to A level to adult learners. She lives in London and Devon with her partner and occasional visits from their five grown-up children. Oh and Suki the fox terrier.
