A simple, accurate and precise RP-HPLC method has been developed and validated for the determination of Sertraline in bulk and tablet dosage forms. Separation of the drug was achieved on a Symmetry C18 column (150mm x 4.6mm, 5µm) using a mobile phase consisting of ammonium acetate buffer and acetonitrile in the ratio of 50:50 v/v. The flow rate was 0.8ml/min at ambient temperature. The quantification was achieved with UV detection at 273nm. The linearity was observed over the concentration range of 50-250µg/ml with a correlation coefficient of 0.999. The accuracy of the proposed method was…mehr

The accuracy of the proposed method was determined by recovery studies and found to be 98-100.3% of Sertraline. The proposed method can be employed for routine quality control analysis of Sertraline in tablet dosage forms.
