RPG books and magazines were initially brought to Brazil by players who acquired them abroad and shared them through photocopies and xerox copies with their communities, gradually attracting the interest of domestic publishers, who began to publish them in translated editions or in original versions, competing for a place in this market until the mid-1990s, when the São Paulo publishers Devir and Trama predominated.
