Autorenporträt
Esther van den Berg (1982) studied Illustration at the Art Academy in Kampen, where she also grew up. At the academy, she liked standing behind one of the printing machines with her fingers in black ink. After graduating, she left for Randstad and worked inter alia as a desktop publisher and a graphic designer. Only eight years after her graduation, her fingers started itching again. She had to draw! Under the name "PUIKEPRENT", she continued to grow as an illustrator. Nowadays her illustrations are mostly made digitally. However, as a result of her traditional education, she always looks for the right texture and a hand-painted feeling in her digital work as well. Her pictures are atmospheric, show attention to detail, and often contain a nod.
