Hardie was signed to the practice roster of the Canadian Football League's Saskatchewan Roughriders on September 16, 2008, only to be released two days later on September 18. Hardie was signed to the practice squad of the Green Bay Packers on October 8, 2008. He was released on October 20. Hardie was re-signed to the practice squad of the Detroit Lions on December 9, 2008 after linebacker Darnell Bing was promoted to theactive roster. Following the season, he was re-signed to a future contract on December 29. He was released on July 27, 2009.
