It is the fourth rugby league video game released by Sidhe Interactive since 2003 with the latest being Rugby League 2 World Cup Edition in 2008. There are 8 confirmed domestic leagues to date and over 80 teams in the game, as well as an unconfirmed amount of national teams. New to Rugby League 3 are the Toyota Cup, Co-operative Championship and Championship One; none of which are featured in prior versions. NRL Rugby League 2 World Cup Edition is a video game based on the sport of rugby league. It is a content update to the 2005 Rugby League 2. Rugby League 2 World Cup Edition is available primarily in Australia, New Zealand and the UK. Limited quantities of the game are also available in other PAL territories. Rugby League 2 World Cup Edition is only on the PS2.
