Ruggero Ferrario (born Milan, 7 October 1897; died 5 April 1976) was an Italian racing cyclist and Olympic champion in track cycling. He received a gold medal in team pursuit at the 1920 Summer Olympics in Antwerp (with Arnaldo Carli, Franco Giorgetti and Primo Magnani). He won the first Coppa Bernocchi race in 1919. Track cycling is a bicycle racing sport usually held on specially-built banked tracks or velodromes (but many events are held at older velodromes where the track banking is relatively shallow) using track bicycles. Track racing is also done on grass tracks marked out on flat sportsfields. Such events are particularly common during the summer in Scotland at Highland Games gatherings, but there are also regular summer events in England.
