Ruislip-Northwood was a borough constituency represented in the House of Commons of the Parliament of the United Kingdom. It elected one Member of Parliament (MP) by the first past the post system of election. It was replaced by the new Ruislip, Northwood and Pinner seat at the 2010 general election. Ruislip-Northwood was a safe Conservative seat in West London. It consisted of the northern part of the London Borough of Hillingdon. Following their review of parliamentary representation in North London, the Boundary Commission for England have created a modified Ruislip constituency, to be fought at the next General Election. It is to be called Ruislip, Northwood and Pinner, and includes some areas from the existing Harrow West constituency. Meanwhile, parts of Ruislip-Northwood move to a newly created Uxbridge and South Ruislip constituency.
