Autorenporträt
Su García was born in Nottingham, England in 1948 and spent her early years dreaming of a career in the theatre, following in the footsteps of her late grandfather, Harry Cassidy, whose contemporaries in Variety included such famous names as Stan Laurel, Charlie Chaplin and Vesta Tilley. One of the author's first professional child appearances was as young Estelle in the Nottingham Playhouse production of Charles Dickens, GREAT EXPECTATIONS, under the direction of John Neville and starring a young Donald Sutherland as Abel Magwitch. Leaving school at sixteen, she joined the Sadlers Wells Opera Company in London and toured the UK appearing in such operas as Tosca, La Traviata and The Bartered Bride before leaving the stage for a career in aviation. After running her own business in Hertfordshire for twenty three years she retired and travelled the world with her husband, David whilst turning her hand to writing fiction. 'DEAD RECKONING' is her first published novel. Su continues to spend her summers in the Mediterranean on the Balearic Island of Menorca and her winters on the south coast of England, using her wealth of experiences to weave intricate plots for her many and varied characters. Her second novel - 'RUM PUNCH' - is published in December 2015!
