Ecuador, a country located in South America, is not a uniform nation. It is characterized by its Interculturality, multiculturality and pluriculturality, recognized in the Constitution of the Republic of 2008. Its characteristics such as language, the system of values and beliefs, causes the cultural identity is constituted in a series of traditions, values and customs that make up the idiosyncrasy and the sense of belonging to a group of people in specific, under the concept of "intangible cultural heritage. The province of Imbabura, located in a privileged geographical space, was declared a World Geo Park by the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO, 2018). Otavalo, is a canton belonging to Imbabura, cradle of the Kichwa Otavalo ethnic group, whose millenary culture has identified them through the passage of time. However, the identifying customs and traditions of the region have been lost in the new generations. Thus, the purpose of this bookis the design of a printed magazine as a tool for the dissemination of traditions and customs of the Kichwa Otavalo people.
