The author develops an original research method called pyramid sociology. This method represents community development as a pyramid. Vertically, it is made up of a base, the villages; a centre, the towns; and a top, the central and international administration. Horizontally, rural and community development is best explained in terms of four dimensions: political, economic, socio-cultural and scientific, linked at the top and separated at the bottom. Also, rural development would be understood in the long term since Pharaonic Egypt and in the space-time interstice North-South, East-West.
