Actualmente está completando un doctorado en Contexto Educativo en la Universidad de Calgary en Canadá, los intereses de investigación de Wenbei Zhu incluyen la educación rural en Canadá y en China, el diseño de instrucción para la enseñanza y el aprendizaje de los chinos, así como cuestiones relacionadas con los programas extraescolares para jóvenes inmigrantes.
