The name Sadaat Baba comes from a shrine to a saint of the same name in the village. The village was founded by two brothers, Ahmad Khan and Rehmat Khan who were members of the Badrashi tribe. Later, members of the Miangan tribe also came to live in the village. Hence most people living in the village belong to one of these tribes. Some relics of ancient times can be found in the Eastern outskirts of the village. These relics are believed to belong to the age of Buddha.
