As a child, Pam Selker Rak surrounded herself with books, and something magical occurred: her imagination grew and grew and grew some more. Throughout her life, words and poems became her constant companion. And today, words have become her memories, and her mission. All proceeds from her children's books are donated to nonprofit organizations serving Pennsylvania's communities, and especially those organizations that support children.Rak is a graduate of Clarion University of Pennsylvania, earning a BS degree in communication and Duquesne University in Pittsburgh where she earned her MA degree in communications. She is a writer, poet and marketing professional by trade. From her entrepreneurial and training and civic leadership, Rak firmly believes that our communities need us now more than ever. By purchasing one of Rak's books, you, too, are supporting important community organizations like public libraries and early education programs.Rak hopes her books rekindle the fond memories we all have. And above all, she hopes her books remind us that the simplest pleasures are truly our greatest treasures.
