Parisa Partovi-Tabar, D.D.S. obtained her degree in dentistry from Georgetown University School of Dentistry in Washington D.C. in 1990. She has practiced in both Dubai, U.A.E., and in the United States. While working at the Department of Health in Dubai, U.A.E., she saw a need for preventive dental education amongst her youngest patients. She focused on creating preventive dental programs and education because she believed that the best solution to the problem of dental disease is prevention which should be started as early as when the first teeth erupt. She published her first book for children in U.A.E. in collaboration with Dr. M. Hamdan. This was used throughout the country for children's dental education. Her love of community service also led her to start up one of the first community service programs for adolescents in the U.A.E. About the Author Parisa Partovi-Tabar, D.D.S. currently practices in Maryland, U.S.A., where she continues to enjoy working with children and adolescents to not only treat dental problems, but, most importantly, to prevent and educate.
