She's smart, gorgeous, experienced, snarky, and always gets the job done; but Sage McGuire has problems of her own. Only after Sage takes a job investigating the suicide of a man who left his wife and teenage son behind to pick up the shattered pieces of their lives did Sage consider it would be up to her to solve her own father's suspicious death that had tormented her for years. She uncovers odd, but telling, clues and discovers the truth about the dead man's spoiled, unhappy son, and his greedy, narcissistic wife, weaving the protagonist's way through a tangled web of lies and deceit and the threat of connections between both the suicide, and the death of her own father.
