Jat names Sansi and Sahansi are quite possibly Punjabi versions of the same clan name.Genetic testing has shown that the Sahasi's to have Haplogroup R2 (Y-DNA), indicating a common ancestor who lived in Central Asia 25,000 years ago. It is interesting that this marker is relatively rare in India (10%) of the Punjabi population, for example.
