It is part of the Chaudière-Appalaches region and the population is 895 as of 2009. It is named after Reverend Camille-Stanislas Brochu, first priest of the parish. Saint-Camille-de-Lellis lies on the Canada-United States border. Les Etchemins is a regional county municipality in the Chaudière-Appalaches region of eastern Quebec, Canada. Created in 1982, it is named for the Etchemin River which finds its source in the region, as well as Etchemin Lake. Lac-Etchemin is the seat of the RCM. Les Etchemins can be found on the Maine border, southeast of Quebec City.
