Aim of study is to find out the correlation between salivary Mutans Streptococcus count and dental caries experience among preschool children and their parents. 50 father mother child pairs was chosen, early morning saliva samples was obtained before brushing. The clinical examination of child and their parents was performed to record the caries and plaque score. The overall caries experience among the children was 40 percent. The study has emphasized on Streptococcus Mutans transmission from mother to child and father to child.
