NICOLE WEICKGENANNT THIARA received her MA from Heidelberg University, Germany, in English Studies and History, and was awarded a doctoral degree in English Studies from the University of Manchester, UK. She has taught at the University of Manchester, Manchester Metropolitan University and Liverpool Hope University.
