Norman B. Mitchell began teaching at Kings County Christian School in 1989 after a dramatic born-again experience. He asked the Lord to tell him what to do, and the Holy Spirit led him to 2 Corinthians 5:16-17. As an ambassador of Christ, he was to be a messenger of reconciliation and declare the forgiveness of sin through Christ Jesus.
